She attended schools at Bayfield, Washburn, and Delevan, WI, Aiken and Brainard, MN, and Ondossagon High (Ashland, WI). She attended four colleges and two Bible institutes in five different states over a period of fifty plus years, before receiving a BA in General Studies from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas on May 14, 2011. Betty has four sons, one daughter, fifteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Besides writing poetry, she writes articles, devotionals, non-fiction and fiction. She takes immense pleasure in Bible study and devotional times with the Father and Son. Betty reads widely and enjoys walks among nature, likes to travel, study nutrition, practice healthful eating, and spending time with people she loves and cares for. Since age 16, Betty longed to write, but wanted to be a
novelist! In 1985 she realized God had given her a gift for
writing poetry. At present, Betty is back at Sunset International
Bible Institute (SIBI) in Lubbock, TX, after nine years. Now with
the publication of her first book of poetry, along with more Bible
